With a master degree in Philosophy and Psychology, Franco Del Corno is psychotherapist and lives and works in Milan, Italy. He is founder member of the ARP (Association for Research in Clinical Psychology – Milan) and past president of the Society for Psychotherapy Research – Italy Area Group. For the publisher Raffaello Cortina (Milan, Italy), he is Director of the book series in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. For more than 20 years, he has been Adjunct Professorof Clinical Psychology, Psychodiagnostic Testing, Group Psychodynamics in several Universities. From 2006 to 2012, he has been member of the technical committee for the private psychotherapy training under the Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research (MIUR). At the present time, he is Member of the Task Force on “Outcomes evaluation of psychological interventions”, promoted by the Council of the National Association of Psychologists.
In the new edition of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual (PDM-2) he’s editor of the Sections on Mental Health Issues and Disorders in Elderly Patients and on Case Illustrations and PDM-2 Profiles.
His interests are about clinical diagnosis and treatment planning, methodology of quantitative and qualitative research and theory of psychodiagnostic testing. He’s author of several volumes and articles on these topics.
